Sullivan Knoll, aka Volcano Mountain, is a volcanic cinder cone located on the southern edge of Hurricane Utah. Access begins from a nearby neighborhood, with steep trails leadup both the west and east sides of the mountain.

I got up early to do this hike during a family vacation. It was only 5 minutes from our airbnb, and I parked in the neighborhood a ways down Ridgeway Drive, to make a sporting 2 miles round trip hike.

Higher up, Sullivan Knoll came into view.

The ATV trail heading up the west side was steep and got my blood pumping.

Good views from the summit of Sullivan Knoll.

I headed down the trail on the east side to make a loop. This side was looser more slippery.

Looking back, one last view of Sullivan Knoll.

Map of my route. 2 miles and 700' elevation gain round trip, in 45 minutes of hiking.
