Tollgate Butte

A quick winter hike in the Danskins

Tollgate Butte is located on the eastern edge of the Danskin Mountains of western Idaho. This is a high desert peak, located just north of the Snake River Plain. This peak is accessible year round via a short hike from Highway 20.

	I was looking for a short hike close to home, and made the 1 hr drive to the parking area north of Tollgate Butte. I just hiked the road to start.

	Once on the shoulder of the peak, I left the road and made my way up the ridgeline. A light dusting of fresh snow made things more scenic.
