A quick New Years morning hike near Grants Pass Oregon

Dollar Mountain is located on the north side of Grants Pass Oregon. The mountain is popular with locals for both hiking and mountain biking. The summit offers good views, is accessible year-round and is a short hike of just two miles round trip. There are trails from both the south, and from the northeast.

	I was looking for a quick morning hike while my wife slept in during a little road trip we were taking. Dollar Mountain ended up being a good choice, even on a rainy morning. Here’s a view from about half way up the trail.
	The lights of Grants Pass below, as I made my way up the well worn trail.
	Radio tower on the top of Dollar Mountain, finally light enough to see.
	After a few photos at the top, I headed back down. Here’s a view of the trail on the way back, with a little more light.
	Bag to the trailhead, soggy but feeling good.
