Sky Ranch Hill is located in the southern foothills of central Idaho’s Smoky Mountains. Rick Baugher suggested this nickname since it can be found just southwest of Sky Ranch Flat. The approach drive involves crossing private property, made possible by Access YES. Please respect the surrounding land and leave gates as you found them.

	I was on my way to bigger adventures, and figured Sky Ranch Hill would make for a good leg stretcher. Here's a view looking up toward the summit from near where I parked.
	I made good use of these two-track jeep road all the way up.
	Pretty lighting from the summit ridge. Better hurry before the sun sets.
	Summit view looking northeast. Time to head down, I had places to be.
	Map of my route. Just under 2 miles and 600' elevation gain round trip, in a leisurely 40 minutes of hiking.
